The focus of our Marlee on the Move initiative is to spread our mission across the United States and globally. Through this initiative, we donate books to local children's hospitals, host free workshops for children and families from historically marginalized groups, and provide books and professional development for teachers in economically developing countries. We believe that our world is better when all children have access to early mathematics and literacy. The Marlee the Mathematician series is the vehicle we use to empower young mathematicians everywhere. Our next event is a Juneteenth Celebration at East Atlanta Kids Club. I am so excited to be featured as the keynote speaker. My session will focus on my professional journey (from classroom teacher to college professor, how I became a children's author, and the journey I've been on with Marlee. I will also host a math storytime for students by reading the book and engaging them in hands-on math activities. I hope to gift each child with a copy of the book and hope you'll partner with us in donating a book to an EAKC camper!
