I believe every child deserves access to joyful, empowering stories that affirm their brilliance, especially during life’s most difficult moments. I am partnering with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) to donate math-literacy books to children experiencing extended hospitalizations, many of whom miss weeks or even months of school due to chronic conditions such as sickle cell disease. For these children, books are more than entertainment, they are a connection to learning, identity, celebration, and hope.
 
Your donation will place a copy of The Birthday Countdown directly into the hands of a young patient and support a special “Celebration of Life” I am hosting designed to honor their resilience and joy. This initiative is deeply personal to me, inspired by my godson Perry (pictured), a courageous sickle cell warrior, and reflects my lifelong mission to ensure every child sees themselves as capable, celebrated, and full of possibility.
 
Together, we can transform hospital spaces into places where children are reminded that they are not defined by their diagnosis, but by their brilliance.
