Every child deserves opportunities to experience the joy of childhood, even when childhood includes a hospital stay.

Children receiving care at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta may spend days, weeks, or longer away from their classrooms, friends, routines, and the comforts of home. But being in the hospital doesn’t mean they stop being curious. It doesn’t mean they stop loving stories. And it certainly doesn’t mean they stop deserving moments filled with laughter, imagination, learning, and JOY.

That’s where you come in. When you donate a copy of The Birthday Countdown, you are giving more than a book.

You are giving a child:

• A joyful story to enjoy during their hospital stay

• A special activity they can share with a parent, caregiver, sibling, or hospital team member

• An opportunity to explore math through counting, patterns, calendars, and everyday experiences

• A colorful reminder that learning can happen anywhere

• A brand-new book that belongs to them and can go home with them when they leave

Every child deserves something to look forward to and reasons to celebrate. Each donated book will be given to a child receiving care through CHOA Arthur Blank as we help the hospital celebrate their 2nd birthday!
