Molo Mhlaba Schools is pioneering a new model of education for South African girls living in urban townships. Their goal is to operate the first single sex network of schools that offer STEAM education from early childhood development all through primary schools.

Marlee Loves Math started a partnership with Molo Mhlaba in August 2025. The focus of this partnership is to support teachers in building rich, math-literacy environments that support critical thinking, inclusion, problem solving, communication, and collaboration. By using texts that center children of color, girls, and STEM topics, this partnership is aligned with Molo Mhlaba's mission. To date, Dr. Myers has provided several free professional development sessions for teachers (in-person and online), donated books to the school (thanks to some amazing partners), and is building an authorship pipeline for teachers at the school.
